❄️ Freezethawed: The Newsletter #044 - The Winning Assumption

Hello everyone!

In life, you must always play with the winning assumption. Let me explain.

The Winning Assumption:

Imagine a tennis match taking place between two people, Tony and Steve. Statistically, both have a 50-50 chance of winning the match. Quite simple, isn't it?

Tony follows the statistics and starts the match thinking that there is a 50% chance he may win, alongside a 50% chance, that he may lose. However, Steve is playing with the 'winning assumption.' He enters the match, confident that there is a 100% chance that he will win. There is no question of losing.

Who do you think has a greater likelihood of winning that match now?

...

That's the power of the winning assumption.

The same can be applied for every sphere of life. If there are 5 candidates applying for a job, the likelihood of any one person getting the job is 20%. However, it makes way more sense to apply the winning assumption. The candidate who does so, enters his interview with the mindset that there is a 100% chance he will get the job and performs accordingly.

I've picked up this trick from Dr. Sumer Sethi and it makes a lot of sense to me. Let me know if this helps you!
